Assault with a Cue Ball/8-Ball

February 10, 2008

A woman of Massillon, Ohio was attacked by another woman in a local Taco Bell drive-through. According to one source, she was attacked by a cue ball, and according to another one, it was an 8-ball covered by a sock which caused the attacked woman to lose two of her teeth and suffer from severe bruises in her face.

According to the Police and eye witnesses, the reason for the assault was impatience. Apparently, the attacking woman who stood behind the attacked one in a car, couldn’t tolerate with the latter indecision regarding her Taco Bell order, so she stepped out of the car and hit her with the sock filled with cue ball (or was it an 8-ball?)

The Owner and the Winner

October 31, 2007

Apparently, when it comes to 8-ball and 9-ball competitions, you can be both the owner and the winner. Take for example Zheng Jian Qing , the owner of “Top Pool Bar”. On october 21st, while defeating Roger “The Ghost” Espiritu, he won the Top Pool Bar Professional 8-Ball Billiards Tournament!!!

The prize pool kept 75$ for the first place and 45$ for the second but still -
Winning an eight-ball competition in a bar is a winning, even when you’re the owner…

For those who would like to join these 8 and 8-ball competetions at “Top Pool Bar”, a professional 9-ball billiards tournament is set for the next Saturday, Nov. 3rd.

GOOD LUCK and beware of the owner… :)

Zheng is again inviting Saipan’s elite billiards players to take part in the Top Pool Bar Professional 9-Ball Billiards Tournament set for next Saturday, Nov. 3.

The Top Pool Bar Professional 8-Ball Billiards Tournament, meanwhile, will push through Saturday, Nov. 3. Registration for both tournaments start at 7pm.

Zheng also reminded interested 9- and 8-ball players that early birds get a chance to practice for free on any of Top Pool Bar’s full-size billiard tables an hour before the competition.

Top Pool Bar, located along Hotel Street Garapan a stone’s throw away from the Paseo de Marianas, is as spacious as it is modern and boasts of two 9-1/2-by-5-foot tables usually found in professional tournaments abroad.
